Sto. Niño Hospital of the Philex Mining Corporation has completed its first batch of vaccination of its employees
The Sto. Niño Hospital of the Philex Mining Corporation has completed its first batch of vaccination of its employees on 09 March 2021.
Philex Mining Corporation Legal Officer Eduardo Aratas said that at least 30 medical and non-medical staff of the Sto. Niño Hospital has been vaccinated of the Sinovac vaccines turned over by the DOH-CAR.
Sto. Niño Hospital Director and Medical Department Head Dr. Mariele Ventenilla was the first to be vaccinated in the hospital facility in Tuba, Benguet.
The health workers expressed gratitude to the DOH for including the health facility in the Philex mining community as recipients of the first batch of the COVID-19 vaccines.
It could be remembered that Sto. Niño Hospital was among the health facilities which catered to the sudden surge of COVID-19 cases in the mining community in October last year. The good practices of the health facility and the mining company was also shared to the local government of Mankayan and the mining community of Lepanto when they also experienced sudden surge of COVID-19 cases.
